Dr Kanyutu is the Managing Director and Principal Researcher at Inclusive Insights.
She started her career at Safaricom Limited, where she worked for five years in the retail and commercial business units, and later moved to a FMCG start-up, where she managed and oversaw the sales department for two years.
She later moved to South Africa to pursue her DBA and MBA degrees, where she also lectured Marketing Management for four years at the Nelson Mandela University Business School (South Africa).
Dr Kanyutu has worked in the management consulting industry, where she has managed several research and business management projects for the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), the Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC), and Burooj Enterprise, South Africa. She consults for Tembea Tujenge Kenya and East Africa, and Viscar Industrial Capacity (Kenya).
She holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration (DBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Nelson Mandela University (NMU), South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
